Assignment of Rights

This Assignment of Rights (the "Agreement") is entered into on [date] ("Effective Date") by and between [Author's Name] ("Author") and [Journal Name] ("Publisher").

Grant of Rights

The Author hereby grants to the Publisher a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the article titled [Article Title] (the "Article") in the Journal [Journal Name], in print and electronic formats.

Retention of Rights

The Author retains all rights, including copyright, to the Article, including but not limited to:

* The right to reproduce and distribute copies of the Article for non-commercial purposes, such as for personal use, research, or educational purposes;
* The right to publicly display the Article in a digital format, such as on a personal website or institutional repository;
* The right to make derivative works based on the Article, such as translations or summaries.

Publisher's Rights

The Publisher shall have the right to:

* Publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the Article in the Journal [Journal Name] in print and electronic formats;
* Make changes to the Article as necessary for publication, including but not limited to editing, formatting, and layout;
* Include the Article in indexes and bibliographies;
* Distribute the Article through online databases and other digital platforms.

Termination

This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon written notice to the other party. Upon termination, all rights granted under this Agreement shall revert to the Author.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Country].

Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings.

Amendments

This Agreement may not be amended or modified except in writing signed by both parties.

Counterparts

This Agreement may be executed in one or more counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, but all of which together shall constitute one and the same instrument.

By signing below, the Author acknowledges that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
